Terms of use
Effective October 17, 2026
Who we are
Bytewize is run by Wizeworks: Ensar Hamzić and Džemil Sejdija, Novi Pazar, Serbia. You can reach us at info@wizeworks.dev. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the Bytewize apps for iOS and Android or the web app at app.bytewize.dev. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Using Bytewize
You need to be at least 16 to use Bytewize. By using it, you accept these terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard end user license agreement also applies; where it and these terms differ, these terms apply as far as Apple allows.
Your account
In the mobile apps you start as a guest: your progress is kept in a guest account that only this device can open, and it is lost if you sign out or lose the device before you save it by signing in with Apple, Google or an emailed code. Keep access to your sign-in method: it is the only way back into your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Free and Pro
Bytewize is free to use, with ads. Bytewize Pro is an optional subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. The price and billing period are shown in the store before you buy. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before, in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app or your Bytewize account does not cancel it. The store handles payment and refunds under its own rules. If we change the price, the store tells you beforehand, and the new price applies from your next renewal. If we ever offer a free trial, any unused part of it ends when you buy.
A Pro subscription bought in one of our apps also works in the others when you sign in to the same account. A lifetime purchase, if we offer one, gives you Pro for as long as Bytewize is offered, not for your lifetime or ours.
Our content
Our lessons and questions are written with the help of AI tools, and every piece is reviewed and edited by a qualified professional before it is published. Even so, Bytewize is for learning and practice: we can't guarantee that all content is complete or free of errors, and it isn't professional advice. If you find a mistake, report it in the app and we'll fix it.
The content, design and software of Bytewize belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning. Don't copy, resell or publish our lessons and questions, and don't collect them with automated tools.
Fair use
- Don't break the law or other people's rights while using Bytewize.
- Don't cheat leagues or streaks, for example with scripts or several accounts.
- Don't attack, overload or try to get around the security of our service, and don't use it to build a competing product.
- Don't decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the apps, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Choose a display name that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else.
Feedback
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Bytewize without owing you anything for them.
Changing or ending Bytewize
We keep improving Bytewize, so features may change. We may change Bytewize or stop offering it. If we decide to shut it down, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance in the app and by email where we have your address. From that notice, we'll stop selling new subscriptions and stop renewals, and you can keep using Pro until your paid period ends. If Bytewize stops before a period you've already paid for ends, we'll refund the unused part, as the law requires.
Ending your use
You can stop using Bytewize and delete your account at any time in the app's Settings; cancel a Pro subscription in your store first. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after warning you where we reasonably can.
Liability
We work hard to keep Bytewize available and correct, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life or health, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. If you live in the EU or elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring a claim where you live. Write to us first: most problems are solved faster that way.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Bytewize gains new features. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes before they apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using Bytewize and delete your account.
General
These terms and our Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Bytewize. If a court finds any part of them invalid, the rest stays in force. You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else; we may transfer them to someone who takes over Bytewize, and we'll tell you if that happens.
